Full Time and Part Time Driver Position:

Job Description:

Lakeshore Transportation is seeking dependable and compassionate drivers to join our growing team. We provide non-emergency medical transportation services for elderly individuals and people with disabilities throughout the Sheboygan County area.

This position is ideal for someone who is semi-retired, enjoys helping others, and is looking for flexible, meaningful work.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments and other essential destinations

  • Provide friendly, patient, and respectful assistance to all passengers

  • Assist clients with walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility needs (training provided)

  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle

  • Communicate with dispatch throughout your shift regarding schedules and ride updates

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 26 years old

  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening

  • Patience and compassion are essential

  • Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is a plus but not require

  • Background Check Requirement:

    Employment with Lakeshore Transportation is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. Due to contractual requirements with the managed care organizations we serve, applicants must have no criminal convictions. Individuals with a criminal history are not eligible for employment in this position.

Schedule:

  • Flexible part-time hours available

  • Full-time opportunities for the right candidates

  • Currently closed on weekends, though occasional weekend availability may be an option in the future

Lakeshore Transportation is a family-owned and operated Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company serving elderly individuals and people with disabilities throughout Sheboygan County and the surrounding areas.

We are growing and looking for a highly organized, detail-driven operations professional to help strengthen our daily systems while maintaining exceptional service to our community.

Position Overview

The Assistant Manager & Dispatcher plays a key leadership role in the daily operations of Lakeshore Transportation.

This is primarily a computer-based, operations-heavy role (approximately 75% office and dispatch work), with occasional fill-in driving responsibilities (approximately 25%) to support the team when needed.

This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys organization, structure, and precision.

If you naturally double-check work, notice small inconsistencies, color-code your calendar, and feel satisfied when systems run smoothly, this position may be an excellent fit.

You must be someone who:

- Obsesses over details and accuracy

- Loves organization and creating order

- Is comfortable working extensively on a computer

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm with occasional Saturday on-call phone availability if needed. No routine weekend shifts.


Key Responsibilities

Operations & Dispatch Leadership (Primary Focus)

- Oversee daily ride scheduling and dispatch operations

- Coordinate drivers, routes, and last-minute schedule adjustments

- Monitor schedules closely for accuracy and efficiency

- Ensure all trip data is entered correctly and completely

- Maintain strict attention to detail within scheduling systems

- Serve as point person for operational problem-solving

- Answer incoming calls and manage ride requests professionally

- Communicate clearly and calmly with clients, drivers, and care coordinators

- Support onboarding and ongoing support of drivers

- Help improve systems and operational workflows


Driving Support (As Needed)

- Provide safe, professional transportation coverage when needed

- Assist elderly individuals and clients with disabilities, including wheelchair securement

- Interact respectfully and compassionately with individuals with special needs

- Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure safety compliance

- Maintain required trip documentation



Compensation

$40,000–$50,000 annually

*Based on experience and qualifications

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent required

- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

- Comfortable speaking on the phone throughout the day

- Compassionate, patient, and comfortable working with elderly individuals and people with disabilities

- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 5 years)

- Must be at least 26 years old (insurance requirement)

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist clients as needed

Part-Time Mechanic

Job Description:

Lakeshore Transportation is seeking dependable part time mechanic to join our growing team. We provide non-emergency medical transportation services for elderly individuals and people with disabilities throughout the Sheboygan County area.

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Mechanic to help maintain and repair our fleet of vans at our shop located in Plymouth, WI. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, flexible hours, and helping keep vehicles in top shape.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes and brake jobs

  • Inspect and replace windshield wipers, lights, and other small components

  • Conduct basic repairs on company vans as needed

  • Assist with diagnosing minor mechanical issues

  • Keep accurate maintenance records and communicate repair needs

  • Help ensure all vehicles meet safety and operational standards

Qualifications:

  • Previous mechanic or maintenance experience preferred

  • Ability to perform basic vehicle repairs and maintenance

  • Dependable and self-motivated

  • Valid driver’s license required
